Bryan Carstens, 13, is rapidly emerging in the Optimist Class.
He has this year represented South Africa in the 2017 Optimist African Championship in Montazah, Alexandria. Egypt. He competed against sailors from Algeria, Morocco, Angola, Mozambique, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, UAE, and of course Egypt, finishing 17th and first of the South African Team.
Bryan is a quiet and systematic sailor who has worked hard to improve his technical and tactic skills.
He is a very polite and fair competitor who gets along well with the Optimist National Team and with all sailors.
