Martinique 1999
This year RSA team, which went to the beautiful island of Martinique in the Caribbean, were experienced from the previous year’s European team – Roscoe Friend, Richard Weddell, Kyle Klaas Mary Waller and Chris [unknown] Cape Town parents and Davey as the coach. Beautiful island setting and ideal trade wind condition were hoped to suit the team. However they were never able to master the starts and were therefore always fighting to make up ground. This was a pity as the team had the potential to produce good results.
