Qingdao Team Announced !

SAS WC and DCAS announce the Qingdao International Sport Exchange Program Team

The following WC Optimist athletes have been invited to participate in the 9th leg of the Sport Exchange Program initiated by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS)

Kyle Koeries, Thomas Lawa, Oscar Duys, Dean Carstens, Hayden Philander and Joe Groenhof.

RenRe Junior Gold Cup – Bermuda

MATT ASHWELL DOES SOUTH AFRICA PROUD IN BERMUDA !

The RenRe Junior Gold Cup was created as a boutique world class youth regatta in Bermuda for local sailors to have the opportunity to sail with some of the world’s best on their home waters , a “mini world championship ” where only one competitor from each country participates. Matt’s finish amongst the best sailors in the world is truly commendable. Well done Matt !!

As Western Cape Optimist Chairman,  I am delighted to share with you information about the QINGDAO CULTURAL AND SPORTS EXCHANGE PROGRAM. Please read the invitation letter giving details of this great opportunity.

If you are  interested – please follow the instructions below

  • Download the editable PDF or EXCEL submission form – and complete the information requested.  (You should save the document on your computer before completing it)
  • If you are unable to add a photo of yourself on either of the documents send the completed form along with a photo separately.
