Let’s take a look back at how some of our team started their sailing adventure . . .
Hi guys thought let’s lighten things up and do some fun today. Post a picture of our SA team your child when they were small and started learning to sail. In picture is Adrian learning to capsize in a pool. He was soo tiny.
Thomas learning the ropes at Zandvlei on a Terra (Oct 2016 – age 7). He joined the Oppie fleet at ZVYC shortly after. He loved capsizing in these boats.
Thought I’d jump bandwagon as well just to help the gees. My brothers teaching me how to sail. Me in the front, Dylan in the middle and Tiran teaching – fun fact I still have this Oppie….
Malan’s getting to know the Optimist on the Vaaldam.
Jack – Rookie of the year at Hermanus Yacht Club… he was the only rookie I might add.
Jp’s first day out on the water on a 0/9r. The boat was full of tears going out, but all smiles when he returned.
Aydins first Nationals.
One of Josh’s first sailing experiences. Clearly he was anticipating some swimming. #WorstDadever
