It is the ‘313 Days to go’ week ! The excitement is building with the Optimist sailors ! The 2022 African Championship organising committee is hard at work! We still have some sponsorship opportunities available, and request your assistance! If you have contacts or know of companies’ who may be interested please could you contact one of the committee members!
NEW OPTIMIST BOATS! After the African Championships there will be ‘one regatta old’ charter boats available to purchase. As per IODA regulations, these charter boats are new boats imported into the country for the Championship from a reputable Optimist builder. After the regatta these are available for purchase at greatly reduced prices. This is a great opportunity to build our local fleet. It has been nearly 10 years since the last influx of new optimists into the South African Optimist sailing community and not to be missed. In addition if anyone is willing to purchase more than one and resell at a further date, this will bolster the quality of our local fleet and would be fantastic!
