Nominate your ‘Optimist of the Month’

Now is your opportunity to nominate an Optimist sailor of your choice who you think deserves to be featured as the ‘Optimist of the Month’. He or she can be past or present and represent any country, not South Africa only. Nominations may be made by sailors, parents, family, associations, clubs or suppliers. You will need to motivate your reason and include a high quality head & shoulder photo OR an action shot of the sailor on his or her Oppie.

An invitation to all Optimist sailors to choose and nominate their choice of Optimist sailor for the month.

Who can nominate? Anyone associated with the class (sailor, parents, clubs, associations, suppliers, etc)

Photograph: Include a high quality photograph of either a head and shoulders OR an action shot of the sailor on their Oppie

Deadline for submission: on or before the 25th day of each month
