Dear Sailors and Parents.
Eligibilty:
To be eligible to participate in the Class Nationals the Sailor must be Registered and in good standing with the Optimist Class, their club and SA Sailing. Their status can be checked by following this link. https://www.sailing.org.za/member-finder/
Measurement:
The Optimist class has a strict one-design policy and will be doing measurement checks on all boats to complete registration at the Nationals.
The boat measurement certificates are available on request from SA Sailing and the Class. If you are not the current registered owner please do a change of ownership. This can be done by following this link: https://www.sailing.org.za/events/83152/
Please contact the class if you require a new sail to be measured before the event. All sails should have a sail measurement form from when they were first measured.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any assistance with the process. If the boats are prepared then registration at the Nationals will be a painless exercise.
